AGG 3203: Advanced Climatology

Welcome to AGG 3203 (Advanced Climatology)a course taught by Dr Francis Wasswa Nsubuga in this semester. This time around you will be introduced to current knowledge on climatic issues globally, Africa and responses specifically in Uganda, as we seek sustainable solutions. The main aim of AGG 3203, is to unlock the main fascinating questions on atmospheric processes, including climate science, climate change and variability, and climate impacts. We begin to understand many of the underlying issues in today’s society under different climates. Societies around the world are characterised by or shaped by climatic processes and characteristics.

In addition to this study guide, additional information for lectures and practical’s will be provided on KELMS from time to time. It is essential that you access these files over the internet and print out your own copies. Please note that it is essential to attend the classes (or the lectures online) and to take notes during lectures as much more additional material is provided during lectures than appears in the lecture slides. This study manual provides an outline of what is required, suggested source material and the necessary time frames for the course AGG 3203 (Advanced Climatology). You are welcome to interact with me in the course of learning.
