This course introduces students to modern teaching media that they will use to develop ICT pedagogy for use both at college and pre-primary levels. The course will be majorly practical in terms of availing students with technical and pedagogical skills of using modern media in their personal and professional

activities.




This course exposes students to different approaches to contemporary issues in Curriculum designing. The course will help students to develop in - depth understanding   of   the different curriculum development trends both locally and internationally. It equips the learners with a wide spectrum in Curriculum designing and development.

•Types of computer learners, their needs and fears, implications to teaching, principles.
•Preparation and use of computer/accessories, challenges of computer instruction, trouble shooting, routine maintenance.
•Computer mediated instruction:  The media application, disks, web-based teaching/learning, e-learning.
•The secondary school computer studies syllabus:  Interpreting the syllabus, the scheme of work and lesson plan;  planning and preparation 
•Methods, Techniques and approaches, in Computer studies,                
•Teaching large classes, Peer-to- peer supports.   
•Materials design, production and storage: Types of materials, learner involvement, usage, storage.
